| Fairline Squadron 65 awarded “Motor Boat of the Year |
10/03/2010 |
Oundle based luxury motor yacht manufacturer, Fairline Boats has been awarded the prestigious accolade of the 'Motor Boat of the Year' Award 2010 in the 'Flybridge over 50ft' category.
The Motor Boat of the Year Awards are judged by a panel of boat testers from the marine industry. On presenting the Award to Fairline, Editor of Motor Boat & Yachting magazine commented, "This elegant cruiser dishes up three surprises. First, an amazing VIP cabin that is the equal of the 65's full-beam master cabin. Surprise number two is the unprecedented use of large glass windows in the crew cabin, which has transformed the usual kids’ hideaway into a genuine fourth cabin, fit for grown-ups. And last but not least, the flybridge feels like it's been stolen from a 70-footer.
The boat also exhibits Fairline's usual fastidious attention to no-expense-spared detailing, and is packed with luxurious home-from-home comforts, designed to make living aboard a genuine pleasure, however long the vacation.
The Award was accepted by Derek Carter, CEO, Fairline Boats and Adam Greenwood, Technical Director, who commented: "We are proud that the second motor yacht in our next generation of Squadron models has received the Award. Last year the Squadron 55 won the Award following her debut in autumn 2008. We are delighted that the design and build of the new Squadron 65 has also been recognised and praised following her launch in May 2009."
The Fairline Squadron 65 is highly specified and offers owners sophisticated, spacious living areas to relax and entertain. The next model in the Squadron range, a 40-footer, will be launched in the summer. |
